North Korea to conduct nuclear test over the Pacific

North Korea insinuated that they would be testing a Hydrogen bomb over the Pacific Ocean. Amid the threats, US President Donald Trump tweeted that the 'rogue regime's leader would be tested like never before'. During a speech at the United Nations General Assembly at the start of the week, Trump warned North Korea, telling them that they would destroy North Korea if Pyongyang continues to take aggressive actions. Following the warning, North Korean leader Kim Jong called Trump deranged, and their foreign minister said that they would be conducting an H-bomb test.

Donald Trump continued to fire back at the North Korean leader in a series of tweets calling Kim Jong Un a madman who doesn't mind killing and starving people for his benefit and his leadership would be tested now. He had previously called Kim Jong Un 'Rocket Man' but did not use that term in Fridays tweet.

According to the Yonhap news agency, the North Korean Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho gave word about the hydrogen bomb while the United Nations General Assembly was in progress in New York. It was a possible response to the speech that the US President made at the event. He said that the strong hydrogen bomb would be tested over the Pacific Ocean and he has no idea what measures need to be taken since it will be taken care of by Kim Jong Un himself.

If the testing is done, it would be a major provocation for countries such as the US, South Korea, and Japan. The announcement by Ri came after Kim's speech where he vowed that Trump would pay dearly for the threats he has made to destroy North Korea.

On Tuesday, Kim made a first-person statement, a first for him to the world so far, that was published by the North Korea's state propaganda arm. The statement by Kim came after the first speech by Trump in the assembly on Tuesday. He had also added that Trump was not the best person to hold the supreme commander of a country. He called Trump 'a rogue and a gangster fond of playing with fire'.

According to experts, the statement is an announcement that North Korea was ready to test its weapon on the US forces in Asia and the US mainland. Trump on Tuesday had mocked Kim as a rocket man and as a man on a suicide mission. Trump also made it clear that if they were forced to defend themselves or their allies, they would not think twice before destroying North Korea.

Kim, on the other hand, said that Trump's threats have convinced them rather than frightened them to choose the path that they think is correct. He also said that Trump would reflect on the response made by him and that he would have to face the results that are beyond expectations.
